Al Aashiqeen Islamic Institute’s observance of Auspicious Islamic days enriches the spiritual lives of its members, strengthens community bonds, and fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of Islamic traditions and values.
At Masjid Al Aashiqeen, auspicious nights are observed with deep reverence and a focus on spiritual growth, providing the community with opportunities to connect with Allah and seek His blessings. These nights are marked by special prayers, reflections, and communal activities that highlight their significance in the Islamic tradition.
Highlights of Auspicious Nights at Masjid Al Aashiqeen:
- Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Decree):
- Special Prayers (Taraweeh and Qiyam-ul-Layl): During the last ten nights of Ramadan, worshippers gather to perform extended Taraweeh prayers, followed by Qiyam-ul-Layl, where they engage in deep supplication and reflection.
- Recitation of the Quran: The entire Quran is completed in recitation, with special emphasis on the power and significance of Laylatul Qadr.
- Dua and Dhikr: The night is spent in earnest Dua (supplication) and Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), asking for forgiveness and blessings.
- Shab-e-Barat (Ru'ah) - (The Night of Forgiveness):
- Nafl Prayers: Congregants perform extra voluntary prayers (Nafl) seeking Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.
- Recitation and Reflection: The night is dedicated to reciting the Quran and reflecting on one's life, deeds, and relationship with Allah.
- Dua for the Deceased: Special prayers are made for the forgiveness of those who have passed away, and charity is encouraged in their memory.
- Laylatul Isra and Mi'raj (The Night Journey and Ascension):
- Lectures and Discussions: Scholars give talks on the significance of Isra and Mi'raj, recounting the miraculous journey of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and its spiritual lessons.
- Congregational Prayers: Special prayers are offered to commemorate the night, focusing on the importance of Salah and the Prophet's (PBUH) role as a model of faith.
- The First Ten Nights of Dhul-Hijjah:
- Increased Worship: Worshippers are encouraged to increase their acts of worship, including fasting, additional prayers, and Dhikr.
- Eid Takbirs: The masjid resounds with the sound of the Takbirs, especially on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha.

- Aashura (10th of Muharram):
